Tremor's goal is to "breathe life into cards that appear in the original work."

Hello, this is manager of Tremor.

Tremor will pre-open in December 2021.
It officially opened on February 2, 2022.
On the other hand, disseminating information about operations was an issue.
We have decided to strengthen our information dissemination efforts from March 2025, and are currently reviewing our management structure, including X (formerly Twitter).

So, this time I would like to tell you more about us at Tremor.

What is Tremor?

Let us briefly introduce our store, Tremor.

Tremor is an online specialty shop that specializes in Yu-Gi-Oh! cards (Yu-Gi-Oh! OCG Duel Monsters).
The store's lineup mainly consists of cards that appeared in the original Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters manga and anime .

It is an online shop that purchases Yu-Gi-Oh! cards from customers and sells used Yu-Gi-Oh! cards.

We don't have a store, so we are an online-only shop.

Tremor's Commitment

There are many online shops that buy and sell trading cards, including Yu-Gi-Oh! cards.

Also, due to the nature of trading cards, they tend to be sold more actively in stores than online.

Why did we start Tremor in this environment?

This also ties into Tremor's commitment.

Breathing life into cards from the original work

One of Tremor's specialties and characteristics is that it mainly stocks cards that appear in the original Yu-Gi-Oh!, which can be said to be the origin of Yu-Gi-Oh! cards (OCG).

Of course, that doesn't mean that I won't handle or buy any other cards, but I want to breathe new life into the cards that appeared in the original game and provide new value that isn't bound by conventional wisdom or conventions.

The price of the card is determined by the play

Yu-Gi-Oh! cards are not only fun to play with, but they are also collected and have recently become so popular that they are even an investment item.

As of 2025, the original Yu-Gi -Oh ! series, especially the first one, has long since ended, yet new cards are still being released almost every month.

In addition, the playing rules are maintained, and it is not uncommon for major revisions to be made that leave even active players confused.

Opinions on Yu-Gi-Oh cards vary depending on whether they are something to collect or something to use in play.

However, in reality, the price of a card tends to depend on whether it can be used in play .
Of course, there are some super rare cards for collection, but they are probably a minority. Most of the cards in circulation are for playing.

It is not uncommon for the price of cards to change dramatically due to changes in the rules .

I don't think that's a bad thing in itself.
Since the cards are used in play, demand decreases if the cards become harder to use or are weakened due to rule changes.

I think that's a very rational and reasonable idea.

However, I am left with some doubts.

Value is different for each person

This applies not only to Yu-Gi-Oh! cards but to all used trading cards, but there is no clear market price for used trading cards.

Furthermore, it seems like you can tell the value of used goods, but in fact you can't.
What may be junk to one person may be valuable to another.

In the first place, it is clear that cards that were issued in limited numbers are valuable, but as mentioned above, the price does not change depending on the strength of the card in play, and there are no official institutions providing guidelines for the price.

In other words, the value that each person perceives in a card varies from person to person .

The original is the starting point

The cards may be well known now, but I believe that the origins of Yu-Gi-Oh! cards lie in the card game that appears in the original Yu-Gi-Oh!

I like the original Yu-Gi-Oh!, which features Yugi Muto and Yami Yugi (Atem).

I think the fact that I was of that generation at the time and watched it in real time had a big influence on me.

I remember being impressed at the fact that I could actually purchase cards that appeared in the manga and anime, and even duel with them myself!

No matter how much merchandise there was, Yu-Gi-Oh was the only one that had cards you could actually collect and play with.

There were also Pokemon cards and Dragon Ball cards sold on Carddass, but Yu-Gi-Oh! is probably the most popular card among active players to this day.

The reason it has had such a lasting influence is thanks to the original work.

That's why, although it may be presumptuous of me, I would like to give more value to the cards that appear in the original work .

Pterosaur guarding the fort

For example, I think many Yu-Gi-Oh! fans are familiar with "Pterosaur Guarding the Fort."

In the original work, the protagonist Yugi Muto often uses this move in the early stages.

This card has been included in the early series and has a somewhat adorable expression that is also nice.

" Pterodactyl Guarding the Fort" is by no means a "useful card" to play with. In fact, I wonder if there are any currently active players who have it in their decks.

Even if it's for a collection, it's not a very valuable card.

However, fans who are familiar with the original work may like " The Pterosaur Guarding the Fort" or may feel nostalgic about it.

I would be happy if these casual fans feel a sense of nostalgia and think it might be worth picking up again.

Creating a sales page

In order to realize the ideas we have shared so far, Tremor photographs each and every sales card individually and sets up a product page for each.

Most trading card shops only list general information about the effects of each card. In fact, in some cases they don't even list that.

At Tremor, we breathe life into each and every card, focusing on where and how they appeared and played an important role in the original work.

Therefore, the selling price and purchase price will vary from other stores.

At Tremor, we aim to create our own market prices and establish a unique position without any competition.

Cards that are valuable to players and sold at high prices at other stores may be available at Tremor for a discount, or they may even be given away as gifts during special campaigns.

On the other hand, cards that appear in the original work and are hard to obtain are highly rated even if they cannot be used in gameplay.

We will continue to work hard so that one day these feelings will reach many people and we can become a shop that is loved and cherished.
