Alongside Black Magician, this card is the most commonly used card. In modern times, Kaiba Seto has shown a strong preference for this card, and it has saved him from difficult situations on numerous occasions. In the Battle City final tournament, after losing Obelisk's God Warrior in a duel with Yami Yugi, he even appears to settle the score with this card.

The Blue-Eyes White Dragon's roots lie in the mysterious woman with blue eyes who was saved by the priest Seto in the Memory Arc.
When Priest Seto lost his fight against Zoma, the woman lost her life, and the tragic scene was projected on Kaiba Seto's mind. When you learn the truth, you can understand why Kaiba Seto was so obsessed with Blue Eyes.
