Card Story

In the original anime, this classic magic card appears in episode 1, when Yami Yugi faces Seto Kaiba. Sealing the opponent's attacks for three turns is a disadvantageous situation for most enemies, but for some reason in the original, it is often seen as a "last resort." In the aforementioned duel, Seto Kaiba summoned Blue-Eyes White Dragon, putting him in a hopeless situation, but he was able to use the Sword of Light to collect the Sealed Exodia while finishing his turn.

While Yugi is most known for using it, enemy characters such as Rare Hunters (Ghouls), Fake Malik (Rishid), Ishizu Ishtar, and Raphael also use it.
