Black Magic

The Black Magician is one of Yu-Gi-Oh's most iconic cards, appearing over 30 times in the original work.
The reason why Black Magician appears many times in duels is closely related to Yami Yugi's (Atem) memories.
The origin of Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters itself. It was inspired by Pegasus J. Crawford, the creator of Duel Monsters, who discovered monsters drawn on stone tablets during a visit to Egypt.
One of the monsters depicted on the stone tablet is a Wizard. The Dark Magician originated as a magician who served the Pharaoh, and was depicted as an important figure among the Duel Monsters.
This design has a different design and was included in EX, which was released in December 1999, 10 months after the initial design Vol. 1, which was released in February 1999.
Even now, more than 25 years later, its brilliance and charm have not faded.
