He first appeared in the Kingdom Arc, Duelist Kingdom.
In his first battle against Insector Haga, Yami Yugi struggles against the powerful Great Moth, but he has already gained the ability to fly by fusing the Dark Knight Gaia with the Curse of the Dragon, which he has summoned.
He appeared frequently in Duelist Kingdom, but his appearances decreased in the Battle City arc. Under the sacrifice rules, both Gaia the Dark Knight and Curse of the Dragon require sacrifice summoning, so perhaps fusing them further from there is a struggle.

This is a simple yet impressive card that combines two of Yami Yugi's main cards, Gaia the Knight and Curse of the Dragon, to form a horse-mounted Gaia riding on Curse of the Dragon.
