Black Magic

The Black Magician is one of Yu-Gi-Oh's most iconic cards, appearing over 30 times in the original work.
The reason why Black Magician appears many times in duels is closely related to Yami Yugi's (Atem) memories.
The origin of Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters itself. It was inspired by Pegasus J. Crawford, the creator of Duel Monsters, who discovered monsters drawn on stone tablets during a visit to Egypt.
One of the monsters depicted on the stone tablet is a Wizard. The Dark Magician originated as a magician who served the Pharaoh, and was depicted as an important figure among the Duel Monsters.
Among the many Black Magician designs, this is the original and earliest one.
Even now, more than 25 years after its introduction, its brilliance and charm have not faded.
